Step 1: From the main page, click on the "People" tile

Step 2: Click the "Create New" button

Step 3: Enter the details for this Person

First Name, Last Name, and Unique ID are mandatory.

The Unique ID can be based on the person's name, their department or your companies own method of identifying employees. Some examples are:

SALES001
DOEJOHN
000010001

The Unique ID can be used to match people with 3rd party integrations, such as payroll.

Step 4: Add a profile photo

Adding a photo is optional.
We provide 3 methods of adding a photo:

You may select Upload Photo, then choose an existing photo from your local computer or mobile device.
You can Take photo with Webcam, which will then ask your computer or mobile device for permission to use the camera.
Take Photo with Device will only be available if you've added a Network Device with this functionality to your account.

Step 5: BiodeTIME Mobile App Code

If you want the new Person to use the BiodeTIME app, scroll down to the BiodeTIME App Code section and ensure the following settings are enabled:

  • Authorise this person to use the BiodeTIME Mobile App
  • Enrol / Re-enrol Face Biometrics

This will allow the Person to setup the BiodeTIME Mobile App and enrol their face.

Click either "Send Code by Email" to send the BiodeTIME code and instructions in an Email to the person.

OR Click "Send Code by SMS" to send the BiodeTIME code and instructions in an SMS to the person.

The new person's code will be sent after the person is Saved.

Step 6: Select the Locations, Person Groups and Device Groups the person will belong to

Locations are generally physical locations within a company. New locations can be added in the locations section.

Person Groups are a collection of People, often based on a location or role.
Device groups are groups of biometric devices. If a person has a device group selected, it means that they are available for identification on all devices in that group. Device groups are used to speed up the process of managing which devices people have access to.
