We understand that enrolling your face may be a new experience to many.
After this one-time process is complete you'll be able to enjoy the convenience of biometric identification!
Whilst we strive to make the process simple and intuitive, we have some advice if you encounter difficulties.
Enrolling your face into BiodeTIME
- Ensure you have given the BiodeTIME app permission to use your phone's camera.
When you reach the enrolment stage of the signup process, you should be presented with a window requesting permission for the camera.
This screen may look different depending on your device and version.
Selecting "Allow" will give the device's camera permission to scan your face. - Clean your device's front-facing camera to be sure it's free of oil and grime and a clear picture can be taken.
- During the enrolment process, you will be asked to centre your face inside the frame shown on your screen.
For best results, please ensure the following:
- You are in a well-lit room or outdoors with even lighting on your face.
- Holding the camera between 30 and 50cm away from your face, using the frame on-screen as a guide.
- Ensure the camera is held steady.
- Maintain a neutral facial expression and keep both eyes open.
You will receive prompts on-screen above your face to help you with the enrolment process.
The above is a good example of proper facial positioning during enrolment. - Follow the on-screen prompts which may include tips such as move your face closer or further away, ensure lighting is even on both sides of your face, keep both eyes open, centre your face within the frame.
