Pay Periods

A Pay Period determines the period of time that will appear on a single timesheet. A pay period is assigned to a person who will be able to make timesheets for that duration. 

Fields

Name*

A descriptive name (e.g., Weekly) that will appear in timesheets and payroll reports.

Period Length*

The number of time units that make up one complete pay period

Unit*

The unit of measurement for the period length — Days, Weeks, or Months.

Start Date*

The date the first period begins. The system calculates the end date and future recurrences from this.

Example

  • Period Length: 1
  • Unit: Week
  • Start Date: 3/11/2025

This covers 3 November 2025 – 9 November 2025, then each week after that will be selectable.
