People
This article explains how to create a new person in BiodeHUB and assign them roles, permissions, and access settings.
Before you begin
You will need:
- Administrator or Manager permissions in BiodeHUB.
- The new person’s basic details (name, contact information, and location).
Steps to create a person
- From the Home Page, under Organisation, click the People tile.
- In the top-right corner of the People page, click Create Person.
- You’ll move through a series of cards, each capturing specific information about the person.
Person details
- Enter the person’s information.
- First Name, Last Name, and Unique ID are required fields.
Contact details
- Enter the person’s phone number (optional) and email address
- The Email Address is required for login access and links each person to their role, which defines their permissions within BiodeHUB.
- The Mobile Number can be used for SMS codes and multi-factor authentication, helping to keep accounts secure.
Photo capture
- Upload or capture a profile photo
- Choose one of the following options:
- Import photo
- Use Biometric Device
- Use Webcam
Privacy settings
Select the applicable privacy options.
If an option is greyed out, it means your organisation has not enabled that feature.
Pay Period
Select the correct pay cycle to ensure timesheets remain consistent with payroll.
Roles
Choose the role that defines the person’s permissions and access level within BiodeHUB.
Roles determine what each person can see and do in the platform.
Locations
Select the location or locations where the person will work.
Teams
Assign the person to one or more teams.
Teams are used to group people for report generation and organisational reporting.
Device groups
Select the device groups the person will have access to.
Device Groups control which devices a person can clock in and out from.
Finish and save
Review all entered information for accuracy.
Click Finish to create and save the new person record.
Additional Information
You can edit a person’s details later from the People page if changes are required.
Access permissions and roles can be updated by authorised administrators.
